our process

A clear and personal process from start to finish

A new kitchen or cabinetry project should feel exciting - not confusing. Our process is designed to make each step clear, practical and easy to understand, so you can make confident decisions before anything is ordered.

Every project is different, but the Kitchen Canvas process follows a clear path. We start by understanding your space and goals, then help you move through design, quoting, selections and sign-off.

How we bring your space to life

STEP 1

Initial Enquiry

Tell us what you are planning. You can call, send a message or submit a quote request online. Helpful details include: • Project type • Suburb • New build or renovation • Basic measurements • Photos of the current space • Inspiration images • Plans, if you have them

STEP 2

Consultation

We discuss what you want to achieve and what matters most. This may include: • How you use the kitchen or space • What you dislike about the current layout • Storage needs • Appliance requirements • Style preferences • Budget expectations • Must-have inclusions

STEP 3

Measure/Plans Review

Depending on your project, we may measure the space or work from supplied plans. For builders, this may involve working directly from drawings. For homeowners, this often includes understanding the existing room and how the new cabinetry needs to fit.

STEP 4

3D Design

We prepare a visual plan so you can see the proposed layout. This helps you understand: • Cabinet placement • Benchtop layout • Storage flow • Appliance positions • Overall look and proportion • Potential improvements before sign-off

STEP 5

Quote and Options

We provide a quote based on the agreed design and selections. Some finishes, hardware, stone options and inclusions can affect the final price, so we help explain the choices clearly.

STEP 6

Final Selections

Before your project proceeds, we confirm all key details such as: • Cabinet colours • Benchtops • Handles • Mechanisms • Bins and accessories • Layout • Measurements • Delivery or installation requirements

STEP 7

Final Sign-Off

Once you are happy with the plans and details, the project is signed off and ordered. This step is important because it confirms exactly what is being made and helps avoid mistakes.

STEP 8

Delivery and Installation Support

Your cabinetry is delivered to the site as a flat‑pack, clearly labelled and ready for installation. Whether you’re a handy DIY‑er, a builder managing the fit‑out, or you prefer to work with one of our trusted installers, we make the process straightforward. We can provide guidance, answer installation questions and connect you with experienced installers if needed—ensuring your project moves smoothly from delivery to a fully finished space.

How long does it take?

Project timelines vary depending on complexity, selections and supplier timeframes.

As a general guide, once final plans are signed off, the project may take approximately eight weeks, depending on the scope and product availability.

We will discuss expected timing with you before your project proceeds.

Ready to talk through your project?

The best place to start is a simple conversation.
